It has come to our attention that you are considering the Shipman Industrial Area as a sight for a
food irradiation plant. Hawaiian Acres is just south of this proposed location, and we consider it
a potential threat to the people and lands of our subdivision.
The Hawaiian Acres Emergency Response Committee is dedicated to protecting the health and
welfaze of its community, and we would appreciate a written assurance that an irradiation
facility will not pose a threat to the people and the lands of our community.
