HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 027 Draft 01 2002-2004 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 27 0:3 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF PARCEL 14 FROM KEAUHOU INVESTMENT COMPANY AND KONA COAST PROPERTIES, LTD., SITUATE AT PAHOEHOE 2ND, NORTH KONA, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, TAX MAP KEYS:(3)7-7-008-021 (PORTION), TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE KAHULUI-KEAUHOU PARKWAY. WHEREAS, KEAUHOU INVESTMENT COMPANY and KONA COAST PROPERTIES, LTD. are the owners of Parcel 14 located at Pahoehoe 2nd, North Kona, Hawaii, specifically identified as Tax Map Key:(3)7-7-008-021 (portion), being more particularly described and delineated in the attached dedication deed (Exhibit "1"); and WHEREAS, Keauhou Investment Company and Kona Coast Properties, Ltd. were required to provide and dedicate said right-of-way to the County of Hawaii at no cost to the County for use in the Kahului-Keauhou Parkway project, pursuant to condition D of Ordinance No. 94-124; and WHEREAS, the County has now requested dedication of the right-of-way for use in the Kahului-Keauhou Parkway project; and WHEREAS, Keauhou Investment Company and Kona Coast Properties, Ltd. have dedicated the subject right-of-way to the County of Hawaii pursuant to the County's request; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the Council may accept gifts which include the dedication of land on behalf of the County of Hawaii; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, that the County of Hawaii accepts the real property in the attached dedication deed (Exhibit "1 and more specifically identified as Tax Map Keys:(3)7-7-008-021 (portion), for the Kahului-Keauhou Parkway project. 8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to: (1) Keauhou Investment Corporation, Attn: Paul F.
