SUBJECT: DRAFT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
COOPERATING TECHNICAL PARTNERS (CTP) MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AGENCY (FEMA)
Forwarded for your consideration is a draft resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter an agreement with
the State of Hawaii and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The primary purpose of
this agreement is to establish up-to-date flood hazard data and a Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map
(DFRIM) for the South Kohala area.
