Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate the following individuals to the County of Hawaii Liquor
Control Adjudication Board:
Council District 2 - Mr. Stephen H. Ono is lifelong resident of Hawaii. He is a retired
teacher with State of Hawaii, Department of Education. Mr. Ono is a former member of
the Y's Men and a precinct vice chair for the Democratic Party. If confirmed, he will
serve a term to expire on December 31, 2007.
Council District 9 - Mr. Ronald Castillo, Jr. is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. He is
currently employed by the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel at the Hapuna Golf Course.
Mr. Castillo is a volunteer with the Hawaii State Junior Golf Tournament, and is a
committee member with the Aloha Section of the Professional Golfers Association.
Mr. Castillo states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will
serve a term to expire on December 31, 2006. He will replace Ms. Jan Yokoyama, who
has resigned.
