Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate the following individuals to the County of Hawaii Planning
Commission.
Council District 3 - Mr. Bill P. Thibadeau is a 49-year resident of Hawaii.
Mr. Thibadeau is currently retired from Hilo Transportation and Terminal Co., where he
served as president and director. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the County of
Hawaii Merit Appeals Board (Civil Service Commission). Mr. Thibadeau formerly served
on the County Tax Board of Review, Police Commission, and the State Commission of
Transportation to name a few. Mr. Thibadeau states that he is not affiliated with any
political party, and if confirmed, will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2007.
Council District 9 - Mr. James A. Frazier is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and last served
as Executive Director for the Natural Energy Lab of Hawaii. He currently serves as an
Associate Director for the Mauna Kea Soil and Water Conservation District. Mr. Frazier
is a member of the South Kohala Traffic Safety Committee, the Kona-Kohala Chamber
of Commerce and the Hawaii Community College Advisory Committee. Mr. Frazier
states that he is not affiliated with any political party, and if confirmed, will serve a term
to expire on December 31, 2007.
