Aloha Council Members,
I am writing in regazd to Maurice Thomas's proposed lumber yard
warehouse and equipment rental in Volcano Village.
I feel the project is ill conceived for its size and location in Volcano Village.
Our already crowed rural old Volcano Road would be subjected to large
trucks and hauling everyday.
As you know once this property is rezoned commercial , Mr. 'Thomas, who
will be spending upward of over a half a million dollars to build these
unsightly 2 story metal buildings- (think Ocean View subdivision), he can
if this business fails put whatever business he chooses-(think strip mall).
With Keaau less than 20 minutes away I see no hardship whatsoever to our
community taking advantage of the competitive prices that we could never
get here in Volcano Village.
