I Met with Officer Dextet Veriato yesterday, these are our input.
Page 2 (b) - Ordinanace provides for ill oee.
(fl - "County animal control service" -Covered by the contract
(i) proposed "Farm animals" -poultry is included in the oridinance
(p) - "Provocation"- (6) -There is some merit in this suggestion, perhaps the
prosecutor otlice or the coperation counsel should advise.
(q) -proposed "Serious injury" -may have some merit here, may want to check
with Mitch or core, counsel. May want to add "but not limited to"......
Page 3 (f) - length of leash- may want to be consistent with other ordinance
(4-29), etc
Section 4.31 P. 6 (d) (3) (a) -isn't this covered?
Page 7 (4) proposed -covered in other ordinances - HRS 143.2 aad HCC 4.30
etc.
(5) proposed - "under the control" says it all
Under (12). Page 8, ordinance states "escape-proof kennel" would this be
adequate or do we have to spell it out.
Under (12) page 8, may have a problem with due process
Page 9, section 4.31.1 (t), (g) - we may have these already covered in this
ordinance.
