TRAFFIC REGULATION ON PRIVATE STREETS
Thank you for copying us on your August 17, 1998 memo to the
Public Works and Parks Committee on the above matter.
After subsequent discussions with Deputy Corporation Counsel
Gerald Takase, we now have a better understanding of the intent
of the proposed language and compliment the Chair on his
predilections and reasoning regarding this bill. We will
endeavor to establish a mechanism with the Planning and Public
Works Departments to review all future, if not, present
subdivisions for the purposes of notifying the Council of
substandard roadway conditions.
