From Mayor Hang Kim, dated December 23. 2002, submitting for
confirmation the billowing appointments to the Transportation Commission:
Council District 4 - Ms. Sue M. Ota is a lifelong resident of I lawai'i
and is a retired registered nurse. She states that she is not aftiliated
with am' political party.
If confirmed, Ms. Ota will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005.
Council District 6 - Mr. Merle Martin is a 24-year resident of~ F lawai'i
and serves as coardinator for the Center for Independent hiving.
Mr. Martin states that he is a member of the Independent Pam.
If confirmed, Mr. Martin will serve a term to end on December 31.2007.

From Bruce C. McClure, P.F?., Director of Public Works. dated January 6,
2003, transmitting the above bill. States they investigated this request. which
was made by Dr..lohn Wohler, Director of the Hilo After Hours Medical
Clinic, and concluded the proposed loading zone will benelit patients with
disabilities as well as other businesses in the immediate area.
