Re: Capital Budget
Meadow Gold Dairies, Inc. desires to expand its operations located at 11 Railroad Avenue onto a
portion of land presently used by the Parks & Recreation Maintenance Shop. An arrangement is
being worked on so that the County acquires the lease interest and structures from H. Harada
Construction, Inc. as a replacement site for the maintenance shop. Meadow Gold Dairies has
offered to fund the $129,000 lease interest purchase and to relocate the Department's structures to
the new parcel at no cost to the County. The H. Harada Construction parcel is more than double
the size of the parcel that is being given up by the County.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Finance Director to negotiate the purchase of lease
interest and structures from H. Harada Construction, Inc.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the P&R Maintenance Shop Relocation Project for
$129,000 to the Capital Budget.
