Message:
Dear Ms Leithead-Todd;
As Via President of Pulama la Kona Eleritage Preservation Council and property owner
of a coffee farm established by my grandparents in the early 1920's along Mamalahoa
Highway, I have been working towards the establishment of the Kona Heritage Corridor
since 1995. Stories of the cultures that built on our host culture along Mamalaboa
Highway since its days as a foot path help residents and visiwrs gain a unique experience
that enrich their lives. Efforts of Pulama to obtain federal Transportation Enhancement
Funds to share these stories have been hampered by lack of a County plait such as a
Scenic t:orridor Overlay District.
I ask you to support HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL HILL NO 2b5 AMENDING
CHAPTER 2S (ZONING CODE) OE THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE,
RELATING TO SCENIC CORRIDOR OVERLAY DISTRICTS
Please circulate this testimony to all committee members. Thank you.
Sincerely,
TomoeNimori
