Re: Exchange of Real Proaerty
Transmitted herewith for the Council's consideration and approval is an
ordinance amending Hawaii County Code Section 2-115, Exchange of real property,
allowing for the exchange of real property for private property and waiver of the
appraisal requirement where County roadways encroach into private property. We have
encountered situations when the appraisal report would create an unnecessary expense
and therefore request that the Code be changed to waive this report when appropriate.
