swered before a fully thought out conclusion can be drawn. Some of them Dart be heiptLl for upcoming is-
sues of growdt, rho rest are spccifit >o this particular project, but all deserve ale least a moment of thought,
I hope.
1. Does aeybody know the actaal elope of Naai Iiailaa Dr.i I have been told it is to steep for many
of the ideas that have been suggested for traffic calming, and yd it seems that it is being used for s collector
road which is not supposed to exceed 10°/.. Which is tttu7 They should be mutually exclusive shouldn't
they?
2. Has a recent trafAe eoaat been done at tht iaterseefloa of Meletloa & Naai ICallua Dr.? Mei-
elina is probably the busiest of the cross streets, espxiatly in the Northern direction off of Nana Kailua I)r.,
and the next "two" subdivisions will add just about enough traffic to justit~ a stop sign or roundabout, is
my opinion, but as official cotmt would tell batter.

ccs? It looms to me that if a driver is only going 25, then stopping should not be that dif6ault. It certainly
would not cost much to find out if they work!

volunteer to help raise, and could provide a lot of very helpful infomtation in flrrtlrer planning Hawaii's growth
The grant was written last year, but voted down by people who think we have ell the irrfotmation that we
need. I, for one heartily disngtoc!
5. Are these going to be affordable bomesi 1 have heard that we have a leasing shortage in Kos, but I
don't believe that is the case. What we do have is a shortage of homes tmdcr 5300,000.00, so caflod
affordable housing. Will these proposed homes help in that regardl I doubt it.
6. In simple ferias, how are fair share fees ealeulatedi Are they a peroetttage of value, per square foot
dtweloped, or just per lot created Seems ss though "fair share" could be very open to intetpetation, and
could stand some serious cxpisirring to those of us in the public who care.
it my opinion, the biggest problem is the speed of the tratf'Ic on Nani liCaflw. Not everybody, not
all the tlme, bat way m many can an going way to fatal. This stems like a good time to try and fi:

so lets get some cheap help.
