Comments on your fax dated November 27, 2002, concerning the subject rezoning are as
follows:
1. The proposed driveway access along Puainako Street should be placed as far to
the east as possible. We have no objections to aright-in only condition, provided
that the throat-length is made long enough to accommodate the traffic loads. A
physical ban-ier should be provided to restrict :my other type of movement.
2. We have no objections to a right-in/right-out only condition; provided that a
physical bamer restriction is provided.
3. We understand that the east-bound Puainako Street lane will be kept as a single
lane. We prefer not to have more than one lane, due to an unsafe weaving action
that may occur with two or more lanes,
4. We will recommend to ENG thal al] AC berms be removed and that the road
shoulder be adjusted appropriately.
5. You will need to consult with our Engineering Division and our Planning
Department for comments concerning the privu:e Awapuhi Street access, and the
40-fi. Road Reserve from the existing Awapuhi Street to Puainako Street.
Please understand that our comments aze recommendations that will he forwarded to our
Engineering Division.
