For your <br /> consideration, we offer the following comments: <br /> Article 1 <br /> • Section 3-3 (Definitions) - A definition for directory signs is needed. For example, is <br /> just one sign along front of property be considered a directory sign? Are sandwich <br /> boards directory signs? <br /> • Section 3-12 (signs permitted in RCX, V, CG, etc) - "wall sign" is defined as a type of <br /> "marquee sign". However, a "wall sign" and a "marquee sign" are two different types of <br /> signs and could potentially confuse the application of requirements for both signs. <br /> Article 2 - Kailua Village Sims <br /> • Section 3.61(a) "Vehicular access" is not defined in code. Would such a definition also <br /> apply to interior driveways like those found at Lanihau Center? Applicability of code <br /> should apply to signs along all vehicular or pedestrian ways, whether defined as a <br /> roadway lot, access easement or driveway. Would the definition of "street" cover this? If <br /> so, then the term "street" should replace the use of vehicular access within Draft 3. <br /> Comm.
