Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. James A. Frazier of Council District 9 to the
County of Hawaii Police Commission.
Mr. Frazier is a 64-year resident of Hawaii and is retired as the Executive
Director for the Natural Energy Lab of Hawaii. He currently serves as an
Associate Director with the Mauna Kea Soil and Water Conservation District.
Mr. Frazier also serves on the South Kohala Traffic Safety Committee and on the
Advisory Committee for Hawaii Community College. He is a past director of the
Kona Kohala Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Frazier states that he is not affiliated
with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2006, replacing Mr. Peter Hendricks, who has resigned.
