Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Linda S. Smith of Council District 6 to the
County of Hawaii Tax Board of Review.
Ms. Smith is a 55-year resident of Hawaii and is currently retired. She is a
member of the Volcano Arts Center and the Lyman House Museum. Ms. Smith
volunteers as a teacher of Hawaiian quilt making. She is also a former member
of the Volcano Community Association. Ms. Smith states that she is not affiliated
with any political party. If confirmed, she will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2007.
