WHf~I~E~~9 Wal-Mart Hilo, as part of their community involvement program, has donated $600 to the
Hawaii County Fire f3rpartment for the purchase of educational- materials to by distributed to the public in
commemoration of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week in May 2003; and
W~EI~E~S, ,4rticle XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
'~9/~iE~REAS, the Hawaii CotJnty Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
