Prom Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 19, 2002, informing he has appointed the
following individuals to the County ohHawai'i Committee on the Status of Women:
Ms. Deboruh:~. Darin of Council District 9 is being re-appointed as she has
demonstrated integrit}, diligence and competence during her time on this commiUec.
She will serve a term to expire un December 31.2006: and
Ms. Paradise Newland of Council District 5 is a 12-year resident of Hawaii. She is
self-employed and is very active in community service. Not aftiliated with any
political pam~, Ms. Newland will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2006,
replacing Ms. Alissa Alcosiba, who resigned.

From Mayor I tarry Kim, dated Uecembcr 27. 2002, informing he has appointed
Ms. Kelly Ann Soo of Council District 7 to the County of Hawaii Family Violence
Conunission. A lifelong resident of Hawai'i_ Ms. Soo is currently a Women's
Advocate Case Manager with "turning Point for Families. A member of the
Republican Party, she will serve a term co-terminus with the Mayor, replacing
Mr. Alexander Gray°cs, who resigned.
