The current user tees were developed based on the assumption that the administration portion of the Operating Budget would be funded through the General Fund. However, since FY 1999-2000, the Wastewater Division has been required to fund all operating costs including operation. maintenance. equipment replacement and administration expenses exclusively through user fees. This bill increases the Wastewater Service Charge rates contained in Section 21-36.1. F,ffective July I, 21103, Single Unit Residential rates will be raised from $27 to $36 and incrcmentalk to S40 per unit by .Iuly 1, 2007; the Multi-Unit sewer rates will he raised from $27 to $2H per unit; the Non-Residential base rates will be raised from $22 to Std, and incrementally to S28 per unit by July I, 2007, (the monthly usage charge per 1,000 gallons rafter the first 7,000 gallons being raised to $4.20 per unit on July 1, 2007); the Gang Cesspool rates will be raised from S15 to 523; the private haulers' discharge fees will be modified with the maximum charge per load being raised from S30 to $40; and a charge for recycled water will be established.
