Dear Mr. Konishi:
I am returning Bill No. 45, Draft 3, to you unsigned. I understand that a member or members
of the County Council will be requesting that this bill be reconsidered at the next Council
meeting on February 20, 2003. Corporation Counsel advises that there is nothing to prevent
our returning the bill to you within the ten days the Mayor has to take action upon the bill.
The bill is being returned to allow the Council to reconsider and amend the bill if it so desires.
I am attaching for your information an opinion from Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald
Takase relating to this action.
