Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate the following individuals to the County of Hawaii
Veterans Advisory Committee. The nominees were recommended by their
respective veterans' organizations.
Hawaii Island Women Veterans Association (H/WVA) -Penny M. Fox is a
six-year resident of Hawaii and serves as the local commander for her
organization. Ms. Fox also serves as the secretary for the Disabled American
Veterans, and serves with the American Legion. She states that she is not
affiliated with any political party, and if confirmed, will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2007.
Disabled American Veterans (DAIS - Mr. Roy T. Hinokawa is being nominated
to a second term, as he has shown integrity and diligence in representing the
DAV. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2007.
