AnalaBakar After talking with you and several other people recently, it has become
clear that there is a lack of information on our solid waste management in the

hands of our representatives. To facilitate the distribution of relevant
Jerry oaniels information surrounding past and pending management decisions, Recycle
aobnnucr Hawaii is requesting that the issue of solid waste management be put on the May
6 agenda of the Public Works committee.
vmvoaKnap9ted We are more than willing to distribute information ahead of time that will
cashannannpr9an update the committee members and the public. I would also like to invite the
members of an ad hoc community solid waste advisory committee to be in
fAarQaral Pahio attendance as well. That committee includes representatives from the recycling
Anr,e sl. J°hn9 industry, haulers, non-profit organizations and others.

laurel Dekker, concern you and Councilmen Tyler and Santangelo have shown regarding this
