Re: Salary Ordinance of 2003 -
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to be known as the Salary Ordinance of 2003. The significant
amendments are:
1. The deletion of the County Clerk, Deputy County Clerk, and Legislative Auditor classes of
work and pay rates. The Salary Commission now sets the pay rates for these classes
pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter amendment.
2. The deletion of the old hourly pay rate for the Student Intern, Student Helper I, Student
Helper II, and the Senior Community Services Aid classes of work.
3. The addition of the Student Helper II class for the Department of Public Works.

S'UBJEC~ Salary Ordinance of 2003
Enclosed is the Salary Ordinance of 2003 for submittal to the County Council with
the County's budget.
The significant amendments are:
l . The deletion of the County Clerk, Deputy County Clerk, and Legislative
Auditor classes of work and pay rates. The Salary Commission now sets
the pay rates for these classes pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter
amendment.
2. The deletion of the old hourly pay rate for the Student Intern, Student
Helper I, Student Helper II, and the Senior Community Services Aid classes
of work.
3. The addition of the Student Helper II class for the Department of Public
Works.
