(hy (Draft 3) increasing the landfill tipping fees) From Environmental Management Director Barbara Bell, dated .lanuary 27, 2003, transmitting Bill 36, Draft 3, which changes the etfactive date to July 1, 2003. This bill increases the refuse fees contained in Section 20-49. The six present fees for landfill disposal will be increased incrementally each year until 2007. The present X50 fee for special handling will be increased to $85. Comm. 75.9: From Environmental Management Director Barbara Bell, dated March 17, 2003. (Bill 36) transmitting a proposed Draft 4 to Bill 36, which 1) Increases the present tipping fee (Draft 4) rate of $35 a ton by $10 each year. for tive years; 2) Increases the residential single family household credit in direct proportion to the landfill tipping fees, based on one ton of rubbish per year for an average household, about 2 bags of trash a week; and 3) Adds a new requirement for an analysis of solid wash division expenses after three years. Attached is a spreadsheet showing projected revenue and expense through FY 07-08 which shows the hauler's credits as well as debt service on possible CIP projects; and also estimates the costs of landfill operations as compared to transfer stations.
