Aloha!
I urge you most strongly to please pass Resolution # 56-03, drafted by Councilman Bob
Jacobson.
Let your vote reflect the condemnation of unprovoked, pre-emptive U. S. military action
against Iraq expressed by the leaders of virtually all churches and religions, including the
Pope, many American commm~ities, almost all countries and millions of people world
wide.
It is with pain and profound shame that I and millions of Americans now live, aware that
the President and Administration of our once noble nation chose to ignore the United
Nations and the Security Council and International Law and Process.
However great and desirable the results, they will NEVER justify the means, NEVER
justify the UNNECESSARY and II,LEGAI, deaths, mutilation and trauma of thousands
of innocent women and children!
The Nurenberg Tribunal pronounced that a war of aggression is the WORST crime
against humanity and our President and Administration committed it, found no
weapons of mass destruction and other supposed threats, although even according to the
CIA there has been no proof that Sadam Hussein was linked to the 9/11 attacks in any
way.
And now we are threatening Syria!
Please let al Least our island, our Counly live Aloha and not live in infamy!
