Naming Kawananakoa Hall-"Princess Abigail Wahi`ika'ahu'ula Kawananakoa Center"
l~his is to transmit a bill amending Section I5-68.1, Hawaii County Code, Parks and Recreational
Facility Schedule, by naming the Kawananakoa Hall-"Princess Abigail Wahi'ika'ahu'ula
Kawananakoa C'entcr."
Members of the Keauakaha community have requested proper recognition of Princess Abigail
Wahi`ika`ahu`ula Kawananakoa and accompanying signage for the new facility. Although
Kawananakoa F{all was named in 1938. the name was not placed on the Parks and Recreational Facility
Schedule. Phis bill places the proper name on the Facility schedule.
