RE: Request for Executive Session.
Discussion of Status of Case and Proposed Settlement
William Silva. et al., vs. County of Hawaii. et al..
Civil No. 96-00359 DAE, U. S. District Court
Pursuant to the County Council's request, I respectfully request that this matter be placed
on the County Council's agenda for its October 1, 1997 meeting. The purpose of the
Executive Session is to discuss the status of this case and the proposed settlement. The
County's attorney from Honolulu has been instructed to be present. I have also asked all
other co-defendants' counsel to be present with their respective client in order to give the
Council their opinions on the proposed settlement.
