Please have the attached communication from Mr. and Mrs. Ray Elliot and
other concerned Kona citizens placed on the agenda for the May 7`h Council
Meeting re: Bill 59.

RE: heating the Kona pool.
We thank you so much for arranging for the heating of the Kona Aquatic Center for the next few
months. As you know, the pool provides a much appreciated service for many. We do see lots of
children and adults there enjoying its facilities. A prominent segment of these are the senior citizens
who have been prescribed the therapeutic exercises by their doctors. The water in the warmer months
are just wonderful; however, the water is cooler between November and March and poses a hardship
and deterrent for the seniors.
Therefore, we, the undersigned, respectfully request that you initiate an item on the budget that will pay
for the heating of the pool during the cooler months on a regulaz basis.
