SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
Lehua Street - Proposed Passenger Loading Zone
We received a request to convert the existing parking restrictions fronting
the Paradise Preschool along Lehua Street to a passenger loading zone.
We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-281,
Schedule 29 (Parking prohibited during certain hours) and Section 24-287,
Schedule 35 (Passenger loading zones) under (c) Hilo be amended as described
in the attached draft for an ordinance. A location map is attached.
Under separate cover, we are transmitting the proposed ordinance to the Public
Works Committee Chair for introduction.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject
