Aloha,
1 am writing this letter to voice my support for the opening of the road between Ainaloa
and Hawaiian Acres. Since I will not be able to attend the meeting being held on
Tuesday, I wanted to have my voice heazd in this way.
I am a resident of Ainaloa subdivision and I support the opening of the road for the
following reasons.
The first is the most important. My place of part-time employment is an orchid fazm on
G road, off of 9 road, in the Acres. It has been most convenient to simply drive through
to 9 using the access road. When the gate went up it meant having to drive all the way
around through Kea'au and Kurtistown to get to the farm which is less than a mile away!
This is not only inconvenient but costly when it comes to weaz and teaz on my vehicle
and gas. With the cost of gas being what it is these days, who can afford to be so
wasteful?
The second reason is due to my other form of employment. I tutor English and have a
client that lives in Fern Acres. Using the access road to get to Highway 11 saves a lot of
time in this commute, at least 15 - 20 minutes.
