Regarding Communication 1072 on Bill 240
Dear Councilman Yarong:
I would like to request that you again consider Bi1124Q deferred in Augi~st 1996. At the request of your
committee, the Association conducted a survey of all lot owners. The question asked was: Are yon in
favor of a 25 mph enforceable speed limit for Fern Acres? The final vote was 421, Ycs, and 105, No.
Considering this overwhelming response for the 25 mph speed limit, a favorable referral to the full
Council would seem in order. Please consider this Bill at your earliest opportunity.
If your committee requires additional information, please contact the Fern Acres Community Association
office at 968-6006 or myself at 968-6462.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Taylor, President

SURVEY
1997
A bill is now pending ai the County Council to legalize a 25 M.P.H. speed
limit within Fern Acres. Bill number 240 will authorize the County to enforce a legal
speed limit and stop sign intersections within our subdivision. At present, there is
no enforceable speed limit or legal stop signs in Fern Acres. Bill 240 only involves
speed limits and stop intersections. It DOES NOT APPLY to enforcement of
motor vehicle licensing or equipment laws!!!
QUESTION:
Should the Fern Acres Community Association push for the passage of Bill
240, to establish a 25 M.P.H. speed limit within Fern Acres, and establish the legal
enforcement of stop sign intersections within Fern Acres?
