Re: Capital Improvements Budget FY 2003-04-Amendment to Project Data Sheet
"I'he attached Project Data/Financial Impact Statement is for the "Replacement of Large Capacity
Cesspools" listed under the Department of Public Works (referenced as project number 2003025
in the Capital Budget). Please replace this sheet with the one submitted previously as parC of the
Amended CIP Budget and Program. The revision provides a more accurate breakdown of the
expenditure (i.e., includes budget for planning and design where previous breakdown was
entirely for construction) and source of funds (bond in addition to SRF). No change is made to
the Capital Budget itself. Please call me if you have any questions.

The Department of Public Works has taken the lead for the EPA mandate of large capacity cesspool replacement for County facilities. Previously
appropriated under Department of Parks & Recreation under "Wastewater Disposal Upgrade" (5599.42, 5599.47, 5599.31)
PROJECT/PROGRAM J(/ST/F/CAT/ON:
"The IZ.S. Environmental Protection (F,PA) promulgated Underground Injection Control (UIC) regulations on December 7. 1999 which prohibited the
construction of no large-capacity cesspools, effective April 5, 2000. Large capacity cesspools existing prior to that date must be upgraded or closed b
April 5, 2005."
