Re: Condition of Uloa Road, Waipunalei Homestead, Laupahcehce
Dear Fred,
Pursuant to our conversation at the Community Meeting last Thursdayeveningthe fdk~wing
is a basic review of what has "not" been happening to aid the residents of 131oa Road.
In September, 2002; a few neighbors and myself got together and met with Coundlman
Dominic Yagong and County Supervisor Willie Perez. The rrrcetingwas held at my home in
Waipunalei Homestead, Laupahcehce. They came here to view the condition of the road.
Dominic Yagongalmost hit atekphone pole due to the constant nun and muddy conditions.
I have been trying to maintain and fill in the existing potholes for the last nine years, i also
maintain and cut the grass outside of my boundaries. This is wear and tear on my (avm
equipment and gasoline to run these machines.
During this meeting W1111e Perez told us, and 1 quote, "I'm waitingfor the Diredorto signoff
on getting gravel for the road." 1 told Witlie and Dominic that'rf we were to get gravel my
wife and I would gladly spread ft ourselves. Willie refused to give me the Dlredors
telephone number. However, later that week I telephoned Dominic's office and his secretary
gave me the number. I placed several calls to the Directors office and it seemed like I was
just gettingthe run around. I did spenkto John Nnkasoni and Ron Ueoka a few times, butto
no avail and with no results. These conversations took place on October 18a' and 28x' of
200: Ron finally told me that there would be no gnsvel for our road.

I ask you, why did Willie Perez say that he was just waiting for the Director to signoff on the
order for gravel, when they just fumed us down flat and said "no° gravel? I don't like being
Ifed to or mislead.
In the meantime, I have rolled the County Yard and kft messages for wlfie Perez He has
never returned my calls. It is now the middle of May and still nothing has been done.
Thank you for your time and consideration concerning this matter. If anything can be done, I
assure you my r?eighl»rs and I will be very appredative.
Sincerely yours,
?~Marvin Raz(n
