RE: Bill No. 101, Draft 2. An Ordinance amending Chapter 19 ofthe Hawaii County
Code relating to real property taxes, by clarifying native forest dedications.
Attached is Bill 101, Draft 3, which was the result of amendments mode at the Finance
Committee meeting of May 20, 2003, for the reason that the agricultural revisions have
not been passed, the following amendments were made for housekeeping purposes.
I . Delete brackets on page two, (3)(A)(i) (19-53(/)(!) q/'(h)J and delete underscore l y-57.
Also change the word "ot" to "or". Which should read us follows:
(i) Rcal property which is ~ahied acwrding to its agricultural for native forest] use
pursuant to subsection 19-53(f)(] or (h)[,l
2. Punctuation of remaining subsections was consistent by placing a period at the end of
each sentence.
3. On page two, (2)(A)(ii), delete the rest of the sentence after "native forest use". Which
will read as follows:
(ii) Real property which is dedicated to an agricultural use or native ti~rest use
[category pursuant to section 19-55, or section 19-58.4 ~ Native torest
dedication),],
