Re: Acceptance of Donations
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donation:
A $500 monetary donation to the Department of Parks 8 Recreation, for zoo activities at the
Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo, by the Kamehameha Schools - 8th Grade Faculty and Class, Ms.
Lehua Enomoto, Mr. Gary Gray, Mrs. Sheryl Kahue, Mrs. Michele LeBlanc, Mrs. Miki
Maeshiro, Mr. Chad Okamura, and Ms. Deede Santiago, 225 Bishop Circle, Honolulu,
Hawaii 96817.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
