ACTION ALERT!
SUPPORT BILL 260 -RELATING TO SMOKING IN CERTAIN PLACES IN THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII CALL & TELL YOUR COUNCILMEMBER TO PROTECT ALL WORKERS INCLUDING
THOSE OF BARS AND NIGHTCLUBS (vote down Draft 4, and support Draft 3)
It is very much a reality that we will lose the bars and nightclubs (and other provisions) if we don't
act now and keep the pressure on. As it stands, there maybe enough votes in favor of Draft 4 (the
very, very bad version) with one potential "swing vote' that may save the bars and nightclubs.
We've assessed that the following members are already 100% supportive of applying the bill to all
workers: Dr. Fred Holschuh, Bob Jacobson, and Curtis Tyler.

I know I sound like a broken record, but...
We must pack that hearing room on Wednesday in Kona, get in as much written testimony as
possible (from youth, business owners, workers, etc.), keep sending in letters to the editor, too.
Convey to our councilmembers that they must value life above all else!
