& Council Members
Hawaii County Council
25 Aupuni Street
Hilo, Hawaii 96720
Dear Council Chairman Arakaki & Council Members:
The Hilo Downtown Improvement Association respectfully requests
that the Council's Resolution providing for free parking at the makai
Kamehameha Avenue parking lot> be extended through the end of
1997. The current Resolution provided a sunset clause of
May 31, 1997; however, the past six months have shown that
on-street customer parking has been greatly enhanced, with the
advent of free and readily available, long-term parking.
We look forward to working with the Council and the Administration
to resolve the challenging issues faced by all who park their vehicles
in Downtown. Should you have any questions, I may be reached at
961-4725.
Sincerely,
Randolph Rohner
