It is reasonable that enclosed establishments be smoke free; smokers can
go outside to smoke.
Most businesses... bars... nightclubs in West Hawaii are open air or
partial open air sections; It is NOT necessary to be smokefree. They
can establish sections for smoking. Consider the lost revenues for many
of these floundering businesses should there be smoke free enforcement.
Most people who go to bars...are smokers and are not in favor of such a
ruling.
A friend in California who owns abar/nightclub and was nearly ruined
when laws such as this went into effeek Eventually, she was allowed to
have an outside smoking area in the back to accommodate her customers;
this action saved her 2.S yr old business and her livelihood
Certainly there should be far more emphasis on the problems to be dealt
with in our community... Drugs Ice is an epidemic! Drunk Drivers
Lives lost! Domestic Violence Women are getting beaten dr
killed Those who propose this legislation need to put their energy into
far more important causes.

Those who work do not have the luxury of anending the Council Meeting.
