Council Member,
I am writing to express my concern as a citizen and mother.
I have five children and fora of them got their first jobs in a Kona
restaurant. It was and open air venue abutting a bar. Due to the
fact that there was no law to protect them, they were subject to
the smoking public. Perhaps they could have found different employ-
mrnt but because they warned to work together, they did not.
At the present time two daughters are still there part time.
They tell me that not only is the av offensive, but due to tton-smokers
finding themselves changing tables whenever possible, the wait
people loose money because they have already started their service.
i feel smokers have a right to smoke if they choose. They always
have. But it is time to address the rights of the non-smoking citizens..
