Dear Chairperson Arakaki:
Pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter, Section 5-2.5 (1991), I respectfully request that the matter
of approving the Fourth Amended Agreement for Special Counsel, for the law firm of
McCorriston Miho Miller & Mukai, who represent Stephen K. Yamashiro, Donna Fay K.
Kiyosaki, Michael R. Ben, Richard D. Wurdeman, James Y. Arakaki, Spencer Kalani Schutte,
Takashi Domingo, Keola Childs, Jim Rath and the County of Hawaii, in the above entitled case
be placed on the agenda for the Council's review and approval at the earliest possible
convenience.
An Executive Session is requested because Defendants' appeal strategy, the merits of the defense
and evidence will be discussed.
