Re: Amendment to the 2003 A General Obligation Bond Ordinance D ~ ~-i

Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the 2003 A General Obligation Bofi21 (GOB)
Ordinance, No. 03-49, to include reference to Ordinance No. 03-90, the Capital Improvement
Program (CIP) Budget for fiscal year 2003-04, in which certain projects mentioned in the
GOB ordinance were appropriated.
Although the bond ordinance includes projects that were appropriated in the CIP budget
ordinance, there was no mention of its ordinance number. Per the Bond Counsel, the bond
ordinance needs to be amended to reference Ordinance No. 03-90.

A. REQUEST:
To amend Ordinance 03-49 relating to the 2003 A General Obligation bonds to include reference to
Ordinance No. 03-90, as certain projects were authorized by the current fiscal year CIP appropriation.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
To ensure that projects appropriated in Ordinance No. 03-90 are properly reflected in the bond ordinance.
These projects are already included in the bond ordinance, however, per Bond Counsel we need to amend
the bond ordinance to include the reference to Ordinance No. 03-90.
