Approval of Third Amended Agreement for Special Counsel

Dear Chairperson Arakaki:
Pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter, Section 5-2.5 (1991), 1 respectfully request that the matter
of approving the Third Amended Agreement for Special Counsel in the above entitled case be
placed on the agenda for the Council's review and approval at the earliest possible convenience.
An Executive Session is requested because the County's strategy, the merits of the defense and
evidence for ongoing Workers Compensation cases will be discussed.
