Relating To Smoking In Certain places In The County Of Ilawai'i

Aloha. My name is Leimomi $hearcr, and T strongly support Bi11260 without
exetIIptions, which would effectively prohibit smoking in all workplaces, recognizing the
importance of providing a safe working enviromnent for alt employees.
Some of you may remember me when I worked as a council aide right here. Some of you
may also remember that I am a smoker. But what I would like to be remembered as, is a
person who carts about others. I know that smoking prosents a negative health impact on
me. ow this. And yet, I contintu to smoke. (Although, I have quit for over two years).
I chose to once again., pick up that cigarette and become addicted,
But, the person standing next to me outside of my office, in the parking lot, at the bar I
frequent to go dancing, has not chosen to be negatively impacted by second hand smoke.
)even though I'm a smoker, l am willing to protect those who by choice, do not smoke
and therefore, should not be submitted to second hand smoke. We Head this bill to
prevent "smoke rage" and provide a smoke free workplace for all people.
