COUNCIL MEMBERS -VOTE "YES" ON BILL 260
Workplace Protection
`A health workin environment for all Big Islanders"
Please pass Bill 260 before the Hawaii County Council. This will protect all ~
workers in enclosed workplaces including restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and
bowling alleys from the dangerous health consequences of secondhand
smoke. Over 50,000 deaths each year in the U.S. arc directly attributed to
exposure to secondhand smoke.
When passed, Bill 260 will be the most comprehensive workplace
protection from secondhand smoke in the state. l fully support this bill, and
respectfully ask you to pass it as written.
