I support Coanty Bill #260 relating to Smoking in the Workplace.
i . The bill will protect workers In all businesses induding restauranffi and bars from the health
consequences of second hand smoke. Second hand smoke is the 3rd most preventable cause
of death in the USA.
2. Studies of communities that have gone smoke froe show that It does not negaWely affect
business and sometimes boosts It. This Is according to studies that use sales tax data and
aouncf research methods. o
3. USA Today survey showed more than half of Americans say they regularly a laces to
keep from smelling of cigarette smoke afterward. Places they avoid lndude:~~o~es~
