Several of the current truck tractors are in excess of 10 years of age, have high mileage, incur major repairs, and are approaching the end of their useful life. The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment and therefore request the authority to enter in a lease agreement for five (5) years. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Environmental Management. REQUEST' Resolution for the financing leasing of three (3) Truck Tractors for a period of five years. B. BAGKGROLIND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): Replacement equipment is needed for: Two (2) 1991 Peterbilt Truck Tractors and one (1) 1994 International Truck Tractor, which are in excess of 10 years in age, have high mileage, incurring major repairs and expensive parts and all trucks are approaching the end of their useful life. The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment, and therefore requests the authority to enter into a lease program to finance the purchase over five years.
