We have revised certain roadway maps to include the roadways as reflected in the recently completed Keahole to Honaunau Regional Circulation Plan and specific Change of Zone ordinances. In addition, we have included certain existing and/or proposed mauka-makai collector roads within the North and South Kona Districts. The present draft General Plan designates the existing collectors/arterials in one color (blue). In the revised roadway maps, we are differentiating by color the existing arterials in blue versus the existing collectors in lavendar. The roadway classifications to differentiate arterials versus collectors were determined through discussions with Department of Public Works and by the Department of Transportation's State of Hawaii Highway Functional Classification Route Listing (1993). In addition, we have changed the color (from lavendar to gray) for the district boundaries. The various roadway revisions are indicated in bold letters on each map and are as follows. We have enclosed eleven (11) copies of the revised roadway maps. Comm No. 0 Ref. To: Mdd Ref.
