Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Ms. Laura J. Guluzzy of
Council District 8 to the County of Hawaii Mayor's Committee on the Status of
Women. Ms. Guluzzy is a three-year resident of Hawaii and is an active member
of her community. She belongs to the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce and
is on the West Hawaii V.A.S.H. Steering Committee. She has also served as a
member of the San Mateo Commission on the Status of Women and offers her
experience from other boards and commissions. Ms. Guluzzy states that she is
not affiliated with any political party. She will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2004.
