While I am sorry to hear of Ms. Leithead-Todd's intention to resign, the vacancy in District 2 presents a rare opportunity for me to serve the community in which l live and work and where my children attend school. Over the years I have become very familiar with the people and commerce in District 2. My work and volunteer activities have given me an understanding and insight into the issues that concern the community. I know the duties of the uf£ce can be very demanding. I hove thought long and hard about this, and would not hove exprssed interest in the job without the encouragement of friends, colleagues and my family.
